A SON'S WAR DEBUT AT PALM SPRINGS
A SON'S WAR debuts worldwide at Palm Springs International Shortfest. The film won the Gold Circle Award, Caucus for Producers, Writers and Directors and is currently screening at Sony, Warner Bros, FOX, etc in a PGA screening series.

BREAST CANCER PSA SCORED
A director and producer I've worked with twice hired me to score a PSA for the Breast Cancer Society. Will post the video and pop song after the mix date.

NEW SCORE COMPLETED
I recently met director Nathan Chitayat and was hired to score his comedy SUBBING FOR JULIA. The score is one of the most interesting I've been asked to write!

MM‘s 2009 list of 25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee includes OXFORD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - run by J.C. Schroder. J.C. is also an amazing up-and-coming director. We've collaborated on two award-winning films - THE END OF ALL THINGS & FREEDOMLAND - and he has two features in pre-production now! Read the MM article here. Oxford's inaugural festival honored my work and I'll be taking part in their 3rd festival in July.

3 FILM SCORES WIN AT PARK CITY
Park City Film Music Festival honors three film scores - THE END OF ALL THINGS directed by J.C. Schroder won Director's Choice Award for Best Film Score and Gold Medal for Musical Excellence; UNCONDITIONAL directed by Brandon Thomas won Gold Medal for Musical Excellence and THE CONSTANT PROCESS directed by Douglas Hunter won Director's Choice Award for Best Documentary Film Score. The festival previously awarded me their highest honor - The Outstanding Achievement in Film Music Gold Medal. Thanks guys!
Also at Park City...Tromadance screened MAROONED? directed by Ryan Nagata and Slamdance gave their best music video award to director Peter Rhoads (PATCHING CABBAGE). Peter and I met on BIG FAT LIAR as assistants to Shawn Levy and Chris Beck.

ME FIRST DEBUT ON STRIKE.TV
Peter Hyoguchi, co-founder of Strike.TV, hired me to score ME FIRST (Arrested Development meets Supernanny), his episodic web series staring Tim Bagley playing on Strike.tv now. Don't miss the pilot episode of ME FIRST and while there, take a minute to watch the Strike.TV promo reel. It's a great introduction to other web-shows and includes several tracks of mine licensed by Happy Hour.

A SON'S WAR WINS CAUCUS GOLD CIRCLE AWARD
Steven Edell's WW II thriller A SON'S WAR won the Gold Circle Award presented by the Caucus for Producers, Writers and Directors. The film is based on the life of one of Steven's teachers, who was a teenager when he escaped from Nazi-occupied Prague. read Daily Variety's article here about the award.

THE TRUTH AT PALM SPRINGS
Palm Springs International Shortfest screens Lindsey Shockley's film THE TRUTH ABOUT FACES starring Hanna Hall (FORREST GUMP, HALLOWEEN). Film also screens at Atlanta Film Festival and 8th Annual Chlotrudis Short Film Festival.

SON'S WAR RECORDING SESSION W/ HOLLYWOOD STUDIO SYMPHONY
Score completed for Academy Award nominee Steven Edell's latest film, the WWII-thriller A SON'S WAR. String section and harp recorded at Firehouse included A-listers Gayle Levant, David Walther and Armen Ksajikian. Steve brought some amazing talent to the film score and I was honored to have the advice of composer Tom Newman (WALL-E, REVOLUTIONARY ROAD) as score consultant and music editor Kenny Hall on this project.

MAROONED? SCORED
Just finished three sessions at Firehouse with amazing A-list session players including Endre Granat, Rick Baptist, Jim Thatcher, Marcia Dickstein and Chris Bleth. The players were contracted by Mark Robertson. Casey Stone engineered and mixed. Score is for Ryan Nagata's Sci-Fi film MAROONED? - a brilliant mix of fan fiction, STAR TREK, STAR WARS and GALAXY QUEST.
